Tech giant Intel could be set to create 3,000 construction jobs after planning permission was granted for a new manufacturing facility.

It has been confirmed by An Bord Pleanala that the green light was given for the new plant at its existing site in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.

Maple House comprises of a four storey modern office building. The building extends to a total net internal floor area of approx. 13,700 sq.ft. together with 31 car parking spaces. The property is currently undergoing a full modernisation programme to present impressive efficient floor plates throughout with new cores, main reception and shower facilities. Construction trucks rumbled by as Crawford Hoying celebrated a ground-breaking for Bridge Park last week.

Preliminary site work at the Bridge Park sites in Historic Dublin and at the northeast corner of Riverside Drive and state Route 161 has been ongoing for months, setting a background of dirt mounds for the official ground-breaking for the $350 million mixed-use development.

Paypal has begun asking staff to make spare rooms available to new employees, because of the shortage of rental accommodation, according to the company’s head of Irish operations Louise Phelan.
